John Hudson Hardwick III, age 67, of Lancaster, Kentucky, passed away after a long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his home surrounded by loved ones. Born Saturday, March 22, 1958, in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John Hudson Hardwick II and Joan Hazelwood Rogers. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Corman Hardwick, whom he married on February 23, 2001.
John worked as a Press Specialist at RR Donnelly and attended Southland Christian Church. John loved many outdoor activities including fishing, golfing, and boating at the lake. He also enjoyed vacations at the beach with his family and was an avid UK fan.
In addition to his wife, Cindy, John leaves behind one daughter, Hannah Brooke Hardwick of Evansville, Indiana; two step-sons, Joshua Bastin (Tiffany) of Lexington, Kentucky and Nicholas Bastin (Melanie) of Stanford, Kentucky; five brothers, Ted Hardwick (Katie) of Lexington, Weathers Hardwick (Elizabeth) of Lexington, Eric Rogers (Cara) of Danville, Kentucky, Scott Rogers (Cindy) of Stanford, and Buck Rogers (Shawna) of Stanford; three sisters, Lori Morris of Stanford, Mimi Carter (Gary) of Stanford and Tori Gaffney (Jason) of Lancaster; and three grandchildren.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM Monday, February 16, 2026 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Monday, at the funeral home. Bro. Vola Brown will officiate the service.
Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Eric Rogers, Buck Rogers, Scott Rogers, Gary Carter, Jason Gaffney and David Potts will serve as pallbearers.
